The Northern Waterthrush is a large, streaked warbler that walks along stream edges, constantly bobbing its tail. It favors shaded riparian corridors during migration, where it probes mud and leaf litter for insects. Its loud, ringing song can occasionally be heard in spring migration through southeastern Arizona.
